How To Pack Lightly When Traveling

It can be such a burden to carry a big suitcase around when you are trying to enjoy your vacation. But, if you master the art of packing you will be able to lighten your load and still have all of the things that you need. This article is going to talk about the steps you should take in order to pack the correct amount of clothing.
The first thing that you need to do is think about where you are going, the types of activities that you will be doing, and how many days you are going to be gone. These are all variables that will change the way that you should pack your suitcase. If you take a little bit of time to analyze your trip before packing, you can put together a good packing list that will include all of the essential items that you need.
When you are traveling to a beach destination, the common mistake is to pack too many clothes. These types of vacations usually involve a lot of time at the beach, so you don't need to worry about bringing a full outfit for each day that you are there. Instead, focus on taking a few swimsuits and some cover clothing (like tank tops, tshirts, shorts, etc), and then choose 2 pairs of shots/capris along with a few shirts to match the shorts. Also, limit your shoes to a pair of flip flops, sandals, and a nice pair of shoes (if you need them).
Another trick to packing lightly is to use smaller bottles of toiletries. If you are going to be gone for 5 days, it is not necessary to bring the big bottle of shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, etc. Instead, spend a few dollars at the store to buy travel size bottles, this will save you a lot of space and weight in your bag.
Also, review your clothing choices and choose items that can be paired together. It is ok to wear a skirt or pants 2 or 3 days on your trip, just make sure to bring coordinating accessories and shirts so that you can change everything around.
Always remember, that you can always go buy things if you need more. Many people often purchase clothing on vacation anyway, so don't feel obligated to bring your entire closet when you take your trip!

How to Choose the Perfect Vacation Rental

When searching for the best place to reside during your upcoming weeklong vacation, there are a few things you need to sift through to ensure you are getting exactly what you want.
The first decision you need to make is budget. Money talks. If you have $5,000 to spend on a vacation total, including air travel fees, food, excursion fees, shopping, etc, then you will need to find a vacation rental that will suit your budget. $2,000 would be a good amount out of your $5,000 to put down on a place. Now, if you have $5,000 to spend on just a vacation rental spot, then your options open very vastly. If you have $1,000 or less, a relaxing vacation is definitely still feasible but it may just be less star-studded; celebrity treatment won't be available like it would in a $5,000 per week suite.
After you pan out your budget, you need to figure out how many people you are going to bring with you. If it is you and your lover, a romantic themed rental would be very suitable. If it is you and some friends, a more spacious, less romantic place would be a good option. If it is just you, then you should stay wherever your little heart desires with absolutely no one to please except yourself.
After you decipher the number of attendees will be accompanying you on this vacation, this will help you determine what type of accommodations will suit your needs. If it is you and your lover, a one bedroom suite will surely suffice. The same goes for if it is just you; multiple rooms or multiple beds would just be unnecessary. If you are going to be joined by a bunch of your friends, say 10 or more, you will probably want to rent out an entire beach house. This may sound expensive but if you're splitting the cost with everyone, it should work out in your favor. However, if you are paying for the entire thing, then no matter what, you're going to be looking at a larger bill. If there are only 5 or 6 of you going, try staying in a condominium. These can be two floors or one and they often come with at least 2 or 3 bedrooms either way. Not only that, but they are typically1 adorned with a kitchen, washer and dryer, and other useful appliances.
After you decide the size of your budget, the size of your party, and the type of place you'd like to stay in, the last thing you need to consider is the beach you'd like to go to! Southern beaches are warm and easy to get to, as well as being moderately priced. Exotic beaches tend to offer an experience you can't find in the states, but beware of the difference in average fees for simple items when traveling overseas. All beaches have their perks, but its up to you and your party to decide which one best fits you!
